  • Moribana (Piled-Up Flowers )

Moribana is a highly creative form of Ikebana in which all sorts of materials can be arranged freely. It is divided into two categories: Color Scheme and Landscape.

    > Color Scheme Moribana expresses the beauty of the harmony and contrast of materials. There are two methods: the Color Method and the Traditional Method.

    >> The color Method uses various material combinations to highlight materials’ color, shape and texture. It includes Upright Style, Slanting Style, and Water-reflecting Style>> The Traditional Method aims at bringing out the beauty of color based on a set of rules for materials, as well as for the method of arrangement.

    > Landscape Moribana expresses the beauty of natural landscapes within the limited space of the container. There are two methods: Traditional Method and Realistic method.

    >> The Traditional Method expresses the natural beauty of scenery using a set rangeof materials and prescribed arranging methods that evoke the materials’ natural form.

    >> The Realistic Method expresses scenic beauty through an understanding of the natural form of the materials, environment, and season. Arrangements also reflect the subjectivity and impressions of the arranger

  • Color Scheme Moribana -Upright Style

It is a basic style for Moribana, which combines the materials' beautiful upright posture with a natural sense of positioning.
